Practicing Biocontrol in Viticulture

Biocontrol relies on living agents or those derived from living organisms. It is part of an integrated biological protection approach that ensures the protection of crops and harvests using products with a more favorable toxicological and ecotoxicological profile, thus likely to better maintain biodiversity.
In viticulture, certain biocontrol techniques are widely adopted such as sexual confusion, the use of insecticides based on Bacillus thuringiensis, the use of sulfur... Some of these products help limit the use of copper in controlling bioaggressors of the vine.
This article aims to present a non-exhaustive list[1] of biocontrol products applicable in viticulture[2].
