Winegrower Pascal Pélissou has been working since his installation to reduce his use of phytosanitary products. He combines several levers, notably by delaying his first treatment (modeling), using significant dose reductions, and managing risk by cross-checking multiple sources of information.
He practices the implantation of cover crops on every other row and grasses the other rows, alternating each year. The covers are sown after the harvest, with faba bean, vetch, mustard, phacelia, and barley. Mechanical weeding of the inter-row is carried out by two rollings and one shredding.
