Palomena prasina
Ravageur

The green chinch bug (Palomena prasina) is a European species of heteropteraninsect, a stink bug (Pentatomomorpha) in the Pentatomidae family.

Its vernacular name can be applied to other species of the Pentatomini tribe. The adult form can change the colour of the dorsal part, varying from green to bronze over the seasons, without any distinctive mark. Green bugs are widespread throughout Europe, including the British Isles. They can be found in many habitats as far north as the 63rd parallel.()
