Ravageur

Cochylis (Eupoecilia ambiguella) is a species of small Lepidoptera (butterfly) whose caterpillar is a vine pest known as " grape worm " or " budworm ", as areEudemis andEulia(Eulia ministrana).

The vine is not a specific host, but a preferred one. The caterpillar also develops on currant bushes, ash trees, blackcurrants, etc.

Cochylis is particularly fond of the warm, humid regions of the Mediterranean, but can develop in cooler areas in northern and central Europe.()
