Eupeodes corollae

The corolla hoverfly (Eupeodes corollae) is a species of syrphid diptera, very common in Europe, migratory (including between England and Ireland (massively sometimes) or over the Channel between France andGreat Britain), pollinator and great consumer of aphids. It is one of the two most common species in Europe, and it has recently been shown that it is also a migratory species (see the article on insect migration). It crosses the English Channel between France and England.()
