Production

The apricot is the fruit of a generally small tree called the apricot tree, from the Rosaceae family. Theapricot 's scientific name is Prunus armeniaca( Armenianplum ). It belongs to the subgenus Prunus, section Armeniaca, along with the world's four other apricot trees.
